The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has submitted a response to a Request for Information (RFI) from the National Institute of Standards and Technology related to the Implementation Roadmap for the U.S. Government National Standards Strategy for Critical and Emerging Technology (USG NSSCET).

The RFI solicited information to inform Implementation Roadmap actions specifically focused on increasing U.S. participation in standards development and educating the standards workforce. ANSI provided information on the ANSI Leadership and Service Awards and other awards programs in the standardization community; the Institute’s courses, activities, tools, and resources for emerging professionals and students of all ages; ways to support training and increase engagement in standards activities; and ANSI’s resources for business and technology decision-makers, including the recently updated Standards Boost Business, among other areas.

“ANSI commends NIST for reaching out broadly to solicit input on the implementation of the U.S. Government National Standards Strategy for Critical and Emerging Technology and for the recognition of the importance of the public-private partnership that has made the U.S. private sector-led standardization system so successful,” concludes the response.
